Floyd E. Ahring, age 47, of Chicago, a former resident of Covington, died Thursday night, Jan. 5, in the Edgewater Hospital in Chicago. He had resided in Chicago for the past 20 years. Mr. Ahring was born Oct. 16, 1919, in Foster, Ind., the son of George and Lydia Mae Hill Ahring. He was an electronic designer for Kraft Foods. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr Ahring was a graduate of Grant Grade School and Danville High School. He formerly was employed by the Woodbury Book Co., in Danville and he was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge. Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Monday at the Edmund-Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home in Danville, Ill. The Rev. Don Goodwin officiated and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville.
